FAQ

Point of sale questions

Is the point of sale included in my plan?

Yes - every plan includes a monthly allowance of POS sales. The Starter plan includes 300 sales a month, Pro 3,000, and Business is unlimited. See the pricing page.

Do I need special hardware?

No. The point of sale runs in any modern browser. A barcode scanner and a receipt printer are optional; scanners that behave like a keyboard work out of the box.

Can I sell in fractions, like 0.5 kg?

Yes. Quantities are stored with three decimals, so you can sell 0.750 kg or 1.25 metres and stock is reduced by exactly that amount.

Who can use the point of sale?

The account owner and any team member you give the Point of sale permission. Discounts and refunds are separate permissions.

What happens to inventory when I sell or refund?

Stock is deducted when the sale is completed and restored if you refund it. Every movement is recorded against the sale.
