Who we are
O Inventory ("we", "us") provides inventory management and point-of-sale software available at oinventory.com. For privacy questions contact hello@oinventory.com.
Information we collect
- Account information - name, email address, phone number, company name and address when you register.
- Business data you enter - products, customers, vendors, orders, sales and team members. You are the controller of this data; we process it on your behalf to provide the service.
- Usage and device data - pages visited, browser type and IP address (stored in hashed form where possible), used to keep the service secure and to improve it.
- Messages - what you send through our contact form.
- Cookies - see our Cookie Policy. Non-essential cookies are only used with your consent.
How we use information
- To create and run your account and provide the service you asked for.
- To take payment and manage subscriptions.
- To respond to enquiries and provide support.
- To protect the service against fraud and abuse.
- To understand and improve the website, only where you have allowed analytics cookies.
Legal bases
Where data protection law requires a legal basis we rely on: performance of a contract (providing the service), our legitimate interests (security, improving the product), legal obligations, and your consent (non-essential cookies and marketing).
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run O Inventory - for example payment processors, email delivery, and hosting - and only as needed for those purposes. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Account and business data are kept while your account is active. After cancellation we delete or anonymise it within a reasonable period unless we must keep it for legal or accounting reasons. Consent records are kept for up to 12 months after the choice was made.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent at any time and to complain to your data protection authority. Contact us to exercise these rights. Account owners can export business data from within the app at any time.
Security
We use access controls, role-based permissions, encrypted connections and hashed passwords, and we separate each customer's data. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
International transfers
If data is transferred outside your country we use appropriate safeguards where the law requires them.
Changes to this policy
We will post updates on this page and change the date at the top. If a change is significant we will tell account holders by email.
